Now more than ever it is important to consider the source of ingredients, the quality of ingredients and the effects ingredients have after they are used. We took all of this into account to bring you the Clean-Ag line of products.
One of our key ingredients is Chitosan.
Chitin is the second most prolific substance in nature; it’s a material that makes up the cell walls of all fungus and the cellular structure of all exoskeletons, like the body of insects.
A component of Chitin is called Chitosan.
In the most basic terms, this is what Chitosan does:
1. When Chitosan comes in contact with insects and their eggs and larvae, it gets converted into chitinase enzyme which overloads and melts the insect’s body.
2. When Chitosan is introduced to plants it heightens the plant’s natural production of chitinase enzyme. When an insect bites or sucks a plant with heightened chitinase enzyme, the insect will die.
3. When added to soil it stimulates and feeds the good microorganisms that convert Chitosan into chitinase enzyme; which then naturally control and fend off any pathogenic diseases, i.e, fungus, bacteria and virus, as well as insects, eggs, and larvae.
4. Chitosan will help your plants weather extreme heat or cold conditions, with less overall stress in any phase of the crops life cycle.
5. Chitosan is easily and readily absorbed into the plant roots and tissue. It is also a chelating agent, helping to break down the nutrients to be used by the plant, thus increasing nutrient uptake. With fast growing plants this can make a huge difference in both overall yield and health of the plants during their entire life cycle.
6. Chitosan will naturally help your plant genetics reach it’s highest potential of essential oils and terpenes, as well as increase resin production and yield. This will not alter your genetics, it will only enhance what is already there.
STATE OF THE ART BLENDING EQUIPMENT
We use one of the world’s best high sheer mixing pumps, which combines the force of centrifuge with milling action to create exceptionally small and uniform droplet sizes; down to 2 microns. This maintains stable and long-lasting emulsification and even disbursement of ingredients.
